Altitude Drones is a DJI and Autel authorized drone dealer located in Johnstown, Colorado, conveniently located between Fort Collins and Denver in Northern Colorado. How we got our start

Altitude Drones is a division of Altitude Hobbies LLC. We were founded in 2011, selling primarily RC aircraft parts and accessories. Our owner, Garret, was a Team Airtronics-sponsored RC pilot and got his start selling Global Hobby brand products through his local club and at IMAC competitions in which he competed. Garret went on to become a law enforcement officer and helped start and eventually supervise his agency's first drone unit at the forefront of drones being used in public safety.

Shortly after our founding, Altitude Hobbies began selling drone products from iFlight, a subsidiary of DJI. Our first inventory models were the iFlight i450 and i550 frames which were similar to the DJI Flamewheel. This kickstarted our passion for selling drones. After this, we branched out into selling DJI and Autel products and are now an authorized dealer for both popular brands as well as many others.

Altitude Hobbies is our RC division, specializing in the best RC aircraft parts and accessories on the market. Our experience in the RC industry dates back to 2002 when we started flying strictly nitro-powered RC planes as electrics hadn't become mainstream yet. Now, we focus primarily on electric powered models. This is where our RC expertise lies, and we are always happy to assist our customers in selecting the right power combo for their model.

Altitude Drones is a our consumer, prosumer, and enterprise drone specialty division. We are proudly LEO and veteran-owned, and our expertise in the drone industry centers around public safety drone applications. Unlike other dealers, we have personally operated drones in some of the most demanding, real-world patrol and SWAT operations you can imagine. We know what works and what doesn't, and we use this knowledge to help guide agencies to selecting the right platforms for their individual needs. 

We don't just serve public safety, however. Our customers include professionals in a variety of industries such as deer recovery, pet search-and-rescue, mapping, real estate photography, inspection work, and much more.
